With a non-alergenic firm sleeping layer for comfort and support and 7-year warranty as well as meeting flammability and phtalates standards, we felt we had a good product, albeit not as good as the previous mattress. It is difficult for us to evaluate the mattress since we can't sleep on it, but our son is fine sleeping on it. The only issue seems to be more noise comparing to the 2000.
The mattress has a waterproof cover and stitching and can be wiped clean.
In my (subjective) opinion, the mattress was somewhat soft, had less well-defined shape than the Pediatric 2000 and seems less sturdy, but still usable.
As you see, this Kolcraft Pediatric 800 Crib Mattress is possibly slightly less comfortable, less sturdy, possibly less longer-lasting and less appealing in comparison to the Pediatric 2000. But it is perfectly usable and costs a fraction of what the previous mattress cost.
Pros: Low price, rather comfortable, wipes clean
Cons: Not as strurdy or appealing as more expensive models, more noisy.
Bottom Line
The Kolcraft - Pediatric 800 Crib and Toddler Mattress
